Sorry guys.

I know, it's been awhile. My internet has been out for awhile, and a bunch of other fun real-life related things. The FOR project has been put on hold sort of. I was going to work with a couple of friends on a C project, but that didn't really work out. Then I discovered Minecraft and played that quite a bit. I will most likely pick up FOR in the near future, but in the mean time I found myself starting a side project: Pokemon The Trading Card Game : Channel. You can learn more about that here: http://pokemontcgchannel.blogspot.com/

Balls

Reading a reflectivity image from a doppler radar is easy. dBZ is essentially the strength of the return. The doppler radar sends out signals which are returned when they hit something, such as precipitation in the sky.

The stronger the return (or dBZ), the stronger the precipitation!

A minor update.

Nothing too special. I did however get the "Author picture" thing working. As you can see on all of my update posts. (It's the picture right before: "Posted by ____" at the bottom.)

This is also kind of a test to try it out. XD

First actual update!

Well, the author avatar posting thing is still under-way. However I figured I'd throw up the first update. I decided to use SuperSound as the new audio handler on the game. Which means higher file-size, but it'll sound so much better.

Also, I decided to drop the "new" charset base. And just build off the old one. Which ended up like so:

Until next time! Feel free to comment below on what you think about the update!

Ahh, there!

The blog seems to be done with information for now. That's up to date. It will be updated as we go for sure, so always check back when you can. The Updates section will be updated every few days with progress and other epic things. I'm also going to implement an Author poster picture type system on the blog soon. So you can see whose posting what updates. That's all for now!

The Engine

Programs used:
Game Maker 8. [Pro]
MS Paint.
Photoshop Cs2.

The controls:
During the overworld, the controls are very simple. You move using the arrow keys. (I may implement WASD movement later on.) The space bar is used to interact with NPCs or other objects. The Enter key will open up the menu, so you can manage your settings. (Party, equipment, items, spells, options, etc.) And M will be used to view the map.

For the battles, it will most likely be keyboard controlled. The mouse will have little to no use in the game.

The Story Of Reverence.

Fable Of Reverence (Or FOR for short.) is a single player RPG. Remember those epic classics like Chrono Trigger and Super Mario RPG? Yeah, it's kind of like those. The game takes place in the really old days. Back when pistols were still being crafted in secrecy by the military. Fun times right? However, this isn't Earth. This planet is called Paragon. It's like a mirror version of Earth. The difference is, in Paragon, most weapons we have today, weren't an option. Things like gun powder didn't exist. However, the people of this world, can harness inner-energy called Magic. You know, like the old fantasy stories? Anyways, just like the old folk lore, this planet is loaded with monsters and dragons and all sorts of danger. So instead of wars among each other, The Parons (Human term for the people of Paragon) spent more time fighting off the creatures that got more stronger, and increased in population every year. You play as Saito, who doesn't have a last name. He's about 17 years old, and never been to war. His parents died when he was just a child, and a man called "Galore" raised him, but Galore disappeared a few years ago when going off to fight the war with the Presages. (The monsters of Paragon.) He doesn't remember much of his childhood until when Galore found him, yet the smell of burning ash still remains as a clue. Saito is usually found in the outskirt forests of his home town, Decree. Training in the forest alone with dual wooden swords. Something most people feel disgusted towards. Saito ends up falling asleep while taking a short break, and has a dream of someone calling out to him, with the sounds of people screaming afterwards. When Saito awakes from the shock of the nightmare, he realizes a giant meteor type fireball heading right into Decree. Colliding and burning everything, Saito rushes out of the forest to the town of Decree.

Screenshots

As I said in other posts, the game is in very early development. I'll add more screenshots and remove outdated ones as we go. You can click them to open in expanded view.

It's Alive!

Finally got around to making the blog, what inspired me to put it up, is thanks to Devogen's logo. Which you can see at the top of the page. On this blog, you'll find tons of epic things. Like demos, screenshots, special looks, anything about the game, I will update here first. You're also free to comment on anything you want. But please keep your language to a decent public standard.  The blog is still under some construction, and will constantly be updated. So keep checking back.
